Service Description

If you’re concerned about a textured skin, acne, skin blemishes, blackheads or whiteheads, you can benefit from a superficial or medium depth chemical peel, depending on the skin barrier condition. Acne can put a damper on the quality of your life. Some patients deal with acne as teenagers, well into their adult years. Luckily, you can treat acne with a chemical peel when applied correctly. These peels remove dead skin at the epidermis and dermis levels. The result is smooth, acne-free skin. From there, you’ll continue to treat your skin with any prescribed skincare and visit your cosmetic dermatologist for maintenance peels. Depending on your skin type and the severity of your acne, you may be required to start with a pre-treatment homecare regimen. This treatment includes: - Cleansing and degreasing your skin with Glycolic acid - Chemical Peel application - Neutralising - Calming mask if required - Vitamin E Occlusive cream - SPF If you have never had chemical peels done before, we recommend starting off with a milder peel to build up your skin's tolerance. Here at the MX, we will customise your treatment by selecting the percentage, the PH of the peel or a combination of several ingredients to provide the best result for your acne. We always advise a course of 4-6 treatments to help you manage your acne and control future breakouts.
