Service Description
PRP (platelet rich plasma) treatment can help and promote hair regrowth. Treatment that is beneficial for both female and male. The technique can address male pattern baldness, female diffuse thinning of the hair, stimulate the growth of hair transplants and enhance the overall appearance of hair. What is Plasma? PRP therapy process: - Plasma is the liquid part of your blood. Your blood is also made up of platelets, white cells, and red blood cells. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a treatment that uses a patient's own blood to stimulate healing and repairing of the tissue it is injected to. A key advantage of PRP injections is that they can reduce the need for opioids, or even over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medications. In fact, use of anti-inflammatories should usually be ceased at the time of PRP treatment, because the platelet-rich plasma optimizes the initial inflammatory response involved with healing. - PRP injections are prepared by taking anywhere from one to a few tubes of your own blood. It is then run ("spun down") in a centrifuge to separates the blood into its various components: red and white blood cells, plasma, platelets, etc. The platelets are collected and injected into the area. The results of PRP treatment are most noticeable after several weeks to months, after a course of three to six injections for scalp skin. Patients may require additional injections at the direction of their specialist as the ageing process contributes to hair damage over the time. The best practice is to do a course of PRP once a year or two years. Because the treatments use a patient’s own tissues, PRP injections are safe and can be administered alone or used in conjunction with other procedures. Platelets also contain cytokines and proteins that promote growth, healing, and rejuvenation. Treatment Specifics: Step 1 Between 10 to 60 milliliters (mL) of your blood is drawn, typically from your arm, and put into a centrifuge. This is a machine that spins rapidly to separate fluids of different densities. Step 2 After about 10 minutes in the centrifuge, your blood will have separated into three layers : 1.platelet-poor plasma 2.platelet-rich plasma 3.red blood cells Step 3 The platelet-rich plasma is drawn up into a syringe and then injected into areas of the scalp that need increased hair growth.
